  • Pringle's Special Portrait
'I met Pam when I bought a yearling Connemara pony from her last year and we stayed in contact ever since. I bought the yearling to keep another yearling company and the two ponies are firm friends now. In the process of buying, I came to understand that Pam liked to paint animals and out of interest I looked at her website to see her work. I was immediately struck by the depth of emotion and character that was portrayed in each piece particularly their eyes. My partner had very sadly had to put to sleep his 24 year old retired hunter in 2022 and we had replaced him with a rather sad looking ex thoroughbred who was destined for the meat trade following an unsuccessful racing career. We named him Pringle - we have a yard theme of snacks and treats for our animals! After lots of hard work Pringle has absolutely blossomed and has now given my partner 2 successful seasons hunting in 5 different packs, he was definitely worth saving from the kennels.

As Christmas approached and Pringle blossomed I just knew that John would adore a painting of his new love, and so approached Pam. Instantly Pam set about instructing me on photographs that she needed and soon afterwards a pencil sketch arrived. I was so impressed that in such a short space of time Pam could transfer the character of the horse into a sketch. I followed the then evolving masterpiece, with regular photos of a variety of stages until soon afterwards the final was released. I was absolutely stunned. It was like Pringle was on the page in front of me, all his beauty, his shy yet aloof character, his sensitivity and his kind, forgiving self just there. He is a wonderful horse and he deserves this absolute masterpiece.

When I gave the painting to John, wrapped as a gift, he opened it looking like a child with a new toy, and then there was silence. He stared and stared and was very quiet. He tilted his head up and I saw his eyes, slightly tearful and sparkly.....it is exactly P he said quietly, full of pride for what we have done for the horse in his second life and full of admiration for the artist Pam. P now hangs in our kitchen, amongst many photos of other horses we have owned and bred, and a painting of my favourite Tedworth hound....but it is P to whom everyone's eyes are drawn when they walk into the room, and then the questions start. Pam is the most talented, lovely lady and we owe an awful lot to her for both entrusting us with the gorgeous Bounty (pony) and this artistic masterpiece'.

  • Memorial Portrait - Lofty aka Lanburn Lieutenant
“Having followed Pam’s journey on Facebook we were delighted to be able to purchase a first edition high quality print of Pam’s beautiful painting of ‘Lofty’.  The colours are so vibrant and we felt it really brought Lofty to life. The print was a gift for our daughter who had a close bond with Lofty. She was over the moon and felt Pam had really captured him perfectly in her painting. It was rather an emotional gift to receive and was a special moment for us all. What a wonderful memory to treasure. Thank you Pam.”
